
This training is designed for healthcare providers who are referring patients to the Hospital Follow-up (HFU) Program. The HFU Program provides caring contacts for individuals discharged from an emergency department or inpatient psychiatric treatment for a behavioral health crisis. The HFUP provides these contacts for individuals who have been seen for suicidal ideation, behavior, or attempt, non-suicidal self-injury, substance use, and overdose. The HFU Program is operated by the University of Colorado School of Medicine Division of Community, Population, and Public Mental Health in collaboration with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
This training includes a 7-minute video followed by a brief recap of content and an opportunity to download resources for patients.
